The story follows Supriyo, an 11-year-old boy who faces challenges going beyond his eyesight issues. His impairment hinders his ability to keep up with his classmates. He relies on his friend, Vinay, for support but is hesitant to share his struggles coping up with Sameer, an older student who bullies him. In the context of rising societal tensions, the film highlights the boy’s courageous journey towards self-acceptance and freedom.

ಕಥೆಯು ಸುಪ್ರಿಯೋ ಎಂಬ 11 ವರ್ಷದ ಹುಡುಗನನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನ ದುರ್ಬಲತೆಯು ಅವನ ಸಹಪಾಠಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನು ಬೆಂಬಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತ ವಿನಯ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವಲಂಬಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಆದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬೆದರಿಸುವ ಹಿರಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಮೀರ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿಭಾಯಿಸಲು ತನ್ನ ಹೋರಾಟಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹಿಂಜರಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಉದ್ವಿಗ್ನತೆಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರವು ಸ್ವಯಂ-ಸ್ವೀಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹುಡುಗನ ಧೈರ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

NITIN BAID

Nitin Baid is a first-time director. CHASHMA (BLIND SPOT) is his directorial debut. Nitin Baid’s first feature as an editor, MASAAN, was screened at the 2015 Cannes FF in Un Certain Regard and won two awards. He is the first Indian editor selected for the prestigious Berlinale Talent Campus and the only Indian editor as well as a member of the international editing panel at Edimotion 2023. Additionally, he has won numerous accolades and awards for editing in his home country.
