In a crime-ridden Rio de Janeiro, Regina and Valério seek a way out of the criminal hornets’ nest they call family business. One night, the couple finds the obvious solution. kill the boss, Valério’s uncle, and sell the business, thus falling into the spiral of violence they wanted to escape.

FERNANDO COIMBRA

Fernando Coimbra, a Cinema graduate from the University of São Paulo, has written and directed nine short films, including TROPIC OF GOATS, which won five awards at the Brasília FF (2007) and screened at Clermont-Ferrand IFF (2008). His debut feature, A WOLF AT THE DOOR (2013), won the Horizontes Latinos award at San Sebastián and earned him a DGA nomination. He directed episodes of NARCOS, OUTCAST, and WHAT/IF, as well as the Netflix film SAND CASTLE (2017). Most recently, he directed episodes 1 and 2 of PERRY MASON Season 2 for HBO, which premiered in March 2023.
